The 1st Women 40 competed at the start of the 1st District League at TC Hopesthal. In a balanced game, Stefanie Sziburies, Alexandra Ruf and Kerstin Göbel secured three points in the individual. The matches between Tanja Dieball, Esther Schnieders and Sonja Lennartz were lost, so that after the individual matches it was a 3:3 draw. In the final doubles, the pairings Ruf/Göbel and Sziburies/Dieball secured the decision with comfortable victories; Schnieders/Lennartz lost their game.
The Wiehler Damen 40 III (3rd district league, 4) got off to a great start with a 6-0 opening win in Moitzfeld. With the cast of Christine Backhaus, Peggy Koch, Nicola Schäbitz and Nancy Schmidt, the Wiehlers made everything clear in the individual stages. After further victories by the double pairings Koch/Schäbitz and Backhaus/Maria Schmitz, the 6-0 win was sealed.
Men's
The TCW men's 50 didn't let anything go wrong at the start of the 2nd district league. Mischa Peters, Uwe Kaltenbach, Thomas Kautschke, Jürgen Pohl and Torsten Wirths left the field as winners in the individual, so that victory was already certain after the individual, regardless of Martin Heuser's defeat.
